Spring, 2026 Athena’s Quill

Each semester, creative writing students at Athena’s are challenged to present their best, freshest, rawest, new work in the Quill. This isn’t a polished, juried literary journal. This is where kids express their ideas, tell their stories, and work to inspire each other. We hope you enjoy the wonderful writing Athena’s creative writing students!

This semester, Writer’s Lab, under the direction of Prof. Suki, chose to write a group story. We did most of the work in the last five live sessions of the semester, with some students donating time during the week to tie up loose ends.

In Writers’ Circle, students come together to generate fresh ideas or develop stories in progress. Writers respond to a variety of prompts during webinars, share quick pieces of work, exchange feedback, and continue individual projects at their own pace. This semester’s Quill selections highlight “on the spot” webinar writing and excerpts of ongoing fiction projects shared by our writers.
